Harrac was built by Frank Curtis & Pape Bros Ltd of Looe in 1981.She was commissioned by John Hill, her owner until October 2004, for blue water cruising. Her dimensions are as follows:

LOA - 13.7 m (45 ft)
LWL - 10.0 m (33 ft)
Beam - 3.86 m (12.75 ft)
Draft to D.W.L - 2.06 m (6.75 ft)
Displacement to D.W.L - 14.145 tonnes
Ballast Keel (cast iron) - 4.146 tonnes

Colour of hull: white

Harrac is of single skin carvel construction, iroko on oak.

Harrac has been subject to considerable modernisation since 2004. The whole of the inside has been remodelled to give an airy main cabin, an owners cabin and a forecabin. There are six regular berths, a heads, and chart table and a galley. Water capacity is 500 litres in a fixed tank and 50 litres in an emergency tank.There is ample storage. All work has been done by the Elephant boatyard in the Hamble.
Navigational equipment includes GPS (2), Radar/chartplotter, VHF (fixed and handheld)

The engine is a 70hp single screw FORD Mermaid marine diesel type 397 developing 72 bhp at 2500 rpm which has low hours and has been completely overhauled during 2006/7. The fuel tank capacity is 80 imp gallons (364 litres)

The rig is cutter rig with a mizzen. All standing, running rigging and sails have been renewed in 2006/7. She is wheel steered.

Harrac has a heat exchanger (for hot running water), a salt water pump, a diesel heater, and generator. She is fully equipped with safety equipment included an 8 man liferaft (serviced in 2005), life jackets, fire extinguishers (checked in 2007), EPERB, jackstays and safety lines. She has a rubber dinghy and outboard.
